wednesday's boy sings a lovely song

sigh.. Tom Wilson is a beautiful, beautiful man. The show last night was hilarious and fantastic, with most of the hilarity attributed to a drunk Bob Lanois playing harmonica and kicking over everything electrical on stage. They were plagued with sound troubles, so his solution was to just kick the guitar pedal off stage or throw the mike on the ground. I said to my pal Kip "I've never seen anyone play harmonica like an offended bull fighter before" and it was true, he was all poses and high stances with arrogant glances over his shoulder and quite a bit of hair-smoothing. It was fucking great. But Tom is the real star, with a voice like a cool deep country well and enough style to knock your grandma's socks off.
