Nothing like driving 800km just to go to La Ronge for a night.
but it's beautiful, and there are so very many trees
and lakes along the way.

Yeah, we were in La Ronge for a total of... 18 hours. But that was still enough time to walk through town, eat dinner, drink at the Zoo, watch a massive lightening storm and the subsequent 6 hr blackout, hike at Nut Point Trail, and enjoy some Saskatchewan Day Festivities. Good times.
