Well things are hectic around here, we're preparing for the halloween show next thursday, I'm in 2 acts and get to play my character, Bawd Barker, to the fullest hosting a MONSTER MISS AMERICA pageant. Our lovely contestants include Miss Zombie Pallor, Madame Medusa, and Lady Cleopantra. You'll only find out who wins by coming to the show! $15 advance tickets are available at Positive Passions on Broadway or they are $20 at the door. It's going to be one big Carnal-Val. Make sure you don't miss it. I've been sewing and stitching and my floor is covered in sequins and fringe. See you there!

home before midnight

I tell ya, when was the last time you were home before midnight when all you can drink beer is $10? Tonight, that's when. That two hour time slot lasted almost four with our "titanic" :TM: pitchers of a decent selection of draught. And I danced. We were at Jax, after all. But there's a certain point where AC/DC plays or Great Big Sea and you think:

In Regina, not staying the night but driving home after the 11pm encore. Cuz that is what I'm all about. Yelling at the mini-van with reggae asking if they're the ganga van and all I get is a smile in return

Did I mention my brother has moved in with me? "Temporarily"? It's been 2 weeks, and it's been weird, and I guess it's been mostly good but goddamn I'm used to living alone. I don't like showering with the door closed. It's actually one of my pet peeves. I need fresh air to combat all that steam. I don't like sleeping with my bedroom door closed. I like turning the music on loud at 8am in the morning, and I like kitchen counters free of clutter. Wah wah wah. But I love my brother and he needed a place to go for a while so he is crammed into the spare room with his cat and occasionally his girlfriend and oh her dog too. We should make a sitcom. Maybe call it Full House. Don't think that one is already taken.

So thursday I had a hell of a day at work and I came home with bitchiness bursting out my eyeballs and I gave him 2 choices. "You can either do all the dishes, including those pans from when I made dinner a few nights ago, and vaccuum and sweep all the floors, or you can clean the bathroom" I said. He opted for the dishes et al, and then I remarked that it wasn't me that pissed all over the toilet. So he did both! Cleaned hardcore for an hour and half and then actually left the house for about 3 hours. It was freaking bliss. He sure stays home a lot and well, I like to stay home a lot so boy, we're home a lot together. It's not even necessarily him that I'm having a hard time adjusting to, I'm just so used to living alone. I've been doing it for over 5 years now. But he's off to Swift Current this week and I'm looking forward to a week here alone. It's gonna be grand.

not enough hours in the day

Hey the trip was great, and the training was great, and the fancy hotel was great, and the big-city shopping was great. I had to ship a box of shoes home to myself. Didn't feel like luggging 3 pairs of ridiculous heels around with me for the rest of the week. The visit with my great-aunt and 2nd cousin was great, and the burlesque show I went to in Vancouver was freaking GREAT and Saltspring was great, and Kim's birthday was great too. We didn't go to Victoria, just stayed on the island which was great, and ate a lot of good food and drank a lot of Jim Beam, and sat on the beach a lot. It was, well, great. Got home sunday night at 11:30 and straight back to work and then my brother moved in temporarily so I've been cleaning my place and cleaning his old place and jeez louise I would like a day to just chill at home already! I have today off but there is lots of crap to do, which includes getting a new set of tires. Ouch $$$. And finding clown lingerie for the Halloween show group piece. I have tickets for sale! $15 gets you into the funnest halloween/burlesque show you've ever seen, so come find me if you want some. I'll have a moment to spare one of these days I swear...
