ba ha ha ha

I don't know why I find this so funny, but I really do. It's freaking hilarious. Enjoy.

Went out last night with some friends in town from Edmonton, and my hot-shot cousin from Ottawa. This is the first time in my life that I have attempted to spend time with him cuz I always thought he was pompous and arrogant. And guess what? I was right. I should have trusted my instinct. He seriously thinks that he is better than everyone else and every time he comes to town he has to spend at least a few hours putting down saskatoon and how lame it is and how much money he makes and how expensive his shoes/jeans/jacket are and blah blah blah. He's a wine saleman/alcoholic and he's a pompous asshole and I'm glad he left when he did last night, because I really was close to asking him how it felt to be so much fucking better than the rest of us. How does the rest of the family put up with his shit? Everyone kind of falls all over him when he comes to town. I don't get it. He's an asshole. But at least I tried.

Good to see my pals though. We had some serious laughs and it was a good night and now I'm enjoying my first day at home alone in over an week just getting reunited with the couch and my pj's. Delicious.

love

Today, man, today was all about love. Love love love love love love love love love. Loved it. Love. I am so grateful for it all. Thanks be for people that love you.

If they know what they're doing they'll hire me. That's all I can do, and that's what it is, and whatever happen, happens. I can't make someone like me. That's just convoluted, and unnecessary. Gonna let go of the worry, or at least try....

Last night we stopped at the bank to get a lot of cash for mom's christmas present, and I walked by a man sitting in the atm bit who had no shoes. And I fucking walked by him and gave him nothing. I'm really frickin' mad at myself about that one. What was an extra 20.

Merry christmas everyone. Air your grievances for festivus, and love.

sometimes you take the long way just to feel like you're moving

I drove home tonight after work at 5pm from the airport industrial. Not even pushing the gas pedal on my momma's car - because my truck has been frozen dead for a week now. So slow. I finally checked right onto circle because past the intersection onto Ave C was ridiculous, and lights were flashing everywhere, and I just wanted to move already, so I ducked right and hit the highway over to 33rd to a left turn and all the way down to Avenue H. "Sometimes you take the long way just to feel like you're moving" thought I, and made it home to find out my parcel finally came and good lord those are sweet ruffle garter panties. Almost worth the $75 for that box of stuff to be delivered.

Tonight was the work staff-only piss-up and one of my true friends told me that I was mean. He said "the reason that you're not in a relationship is because of your attitude, I saw it yesterday, you're mean to people" and it seriously is making me think. Because if he saw it, when I wasn't angry, then what the hell. Pause. Again.

Pictured are the red ostrich fans that I recently bought for $200 online. Yep, $200. They are unreal

winter and assles

Hey. Long time no talk. Blah blah blah. I blame facebook. I've got tons of witty things to say over there, including being excited about heading off to assle twirling class tonight. Only it got canceled! Or should I say "but" it got canceled... ha ha ha. I was looking forward to it only because I've not done it before, but before we could whip out the spirit gum we were told that there were only 3 of us attending and we might as well go for drinks....

I've been weird lately. Things are good personally, I've got some good new pals and it's fun to hang out with smart funny brash girls. But work is dragging me down and sometimes I feel like it's all I can do to sit at my desk and pretend that I'm not completely full of stress. I just applied for a new position that will mean 1 full month of training in Calgary and being my own department. And answering to the manager in Calgary, not Saskatoon. And learning some crazy cool technical jazz. And not having to stress about everyone else's work ethic in my department... oh man would that be nice. But I am sick about the idea that the boys club might trump all my hard work for this one... just fucking sick about it. I don't know what I would do if that happened. Lose a lot of faith in my belief that hard work gets rewarded, I guess. Try to learn how "not" to keep myself productive while I'm at my desk so I can fit in with everyone else.

In the last 2 weeks I've also had two severely bruised elbows, a super intense burn blister on my finger, and an infected nostril. Son of a bitch they all hurt. And now I'm off to continue de-cat-hair-ify my house since my brother and feline both finally moved out, and stay home and count pennies for christmas...
